1. How do I download my Instagram data?

You can request your zip file containing your followers/following .JSON files from Instagram by following these steps:

• Click the ☰ menu icon in the top right corner of Instagram
• Click Your activity
• Click Download your information
• Choose Download or transfer information
• Select Some of your information
• Check Followers and Following
• Click Download to device
• Set the Date Range to "All time"
• Be sure to download the file in .JSON format, *NOT* HTML (the default)

2. Do I need to give you my IG login info?

Absolutely not - the only thing you're uploading is a ZIP file which contains who you follow, and who follows you.

3. Who made this / who are you?

I'm Tim! I was looking for a web app like this that didn't require me to give my IG login info to anyone, and all the ones I found had tons of annoying ads and pop ups, and would crash when I tried to use them, so I made one myself for people to use. This was a fun passion project as I used to be a software developer, and this was my first time writing code in 15 years.
